The ObesityWeek 2024 presidential plenary session is set to tackle the essential issue of equitable healthcare for individuals with obesity, underscoring the impact of bias and stigma on care quality and access. The plenary will spotlight scientific progress in obesity research and holistic health strategies that promise to enhance health outcomes. Experts spanning from discovery science to policy-making will discuss scientific advances that can improve health equity. Advocacy for policy reform and education to dismantle bias and stigma will be a major call to action. This session will spotlight the incredible work of TOS in improving healthcare quality and patient outcomes in obesity.
